The Dragon Lodge is an abandoned house on Hong Kong’s No. 32 Lugard Road. It is one of the most haunted places in Hong Kong and sits on some of the city’s most precious real estate.
There have been various proprietors of Dragon Lodge. The initial owner of the famed property, who constructed it in 1920, went bankrupt, requiring it to be sold, and the following owner died in the home. Many Catholic nuns are alleged to have been beheaded in the front yard by Japanese occupying the home during WWII. The horrible reputation of the property guaranteed that it stayed abandoned for decades.
A local Hongkonger named David on the urbex reddit community, on the other hand, gave knowledge regarding the site’s history. He states that his family resided on Lugard Road, near Dragon Lodge, in the 1940s. The home was owned at the time by Tommy Mun of the Long family.
The Mun-Longs were affluent people with a half-dozen huge homes who didn’t want to deal with the inconvenience of utilizing Dragon Lodge as a getaway villa, so they began renting it out in the 1950s. One of the long-term occupants was the Blitz family, who resided there until the 1960s. As a consequence, the house at the time was not haunted.
Wimbush, a lawyer, rented an apartment beneath the garden area in the 1960s. He became involved in the internationally recognized Carrian incident in 1983. His corpse was recovered at the bottom of his pool, and it was established that he committed suicide.
Soon after, the “spooky stories” about the mansion began, and they were repeated years later by a local woman with friends in the neighborhood. After the 1980s, Dragon Lodge became recognized as Hong Kong’s most haunted mansion.
